Pegasus Awards Nominees Announced

The OVFF Convention Committee has announced the final roster of nominees for the 2006 Pegasus Awards for Excellence in Filking, as selected by nominations from the world-wide Filk community. There were a record number of nominations received this year, and the Pegasus Committee wishes to thank all of the people who submitted nominations.

The final ballot is now on-line. On-line balloting ends on Monday, October 16, 2006, and all mail-in ballots must be received by that date to be counted. The final at-convention balloting will take place on Friday, October 20, and the winners will be announced at the Pegasus Awards Banquet on Saturday, October 21.

2006 Pegasus Nominations for 2006 Now Open

With the posting of the brainstorming results, the nominating ballot for the 2006 Pegasus Awards is now available, and maybe even at a convention near you!

The Pegasus Awards Brainstorming Poll for 2006 closed in mid-April, and the results are now available for viewing on-line. The Pegasus Awards Committee thanks everyone who participated this year.

New Website Design

You may have noticed that we have introduced a new website design along with some new content. If you have trouble with the website, or have suggestions on how it can be further improved, please contact the webmaster at webmaster@ovff.org. For factual or spelling errors, please let us know the correct information.

Call for Artwork

OVFF is looking for artwork to be used in the program book and signage. If your submission is selected as the cover for the program book, you will receive a paid membership to OVFF. Contact publications (publications@ovff.org) for details on format, themes, and what sort of artwork is needed.

Scooter Rental

Once again, OVFF is arranging scooter rental for those mobility-impared individuals who request it. The rate is expected to be approximately $120.00 (US) for the weekend (the actual rate will be determined closer to the con), and requests must be received before September 1, 2006. Please send requests to ovff@ovff.org with "Scooter Rental" in the subject line.

Early-Bird Open Filk

There will be an Early Bird Open Filk on Thursday night (Oct 19) -- tentatively scheduled to be in the Metro Club, time to be announced.
