OVFF Membership Information
Membership dues are how we pay for putting on the convention. With your membership, you get a program book and access to the con-suite and all other amenities provided by the convention except the Pegasus Awards Banquet.
OVFF Membership Rates
At the Door
Banquet tickets are $40.00 at the convention.
Children under the age of 12 attend the convention at a reduced rate.
Young Children in Tow
Infants and small children in tow may attend the convention with a parent at no cost, however they must be with a parent (or other designated person) at all times. OVFF does not provide programming or services geared toward infants, and though they are welcome at the convention, they must be supervised at all times.
Pre-Registration for OVFF 30 is now closed. You will need to buy your membership at the con itself.
Please note that you will need to pay in cash or with a check or money order. We regret that at this time we are NOT be able to accept credit cards at the door.
Paying At The Con
Please Note: Memberships bought at the convention itself may be paid for with cash, personal check, or money order. At this time we regret we will NOT be able to accept credit cards at the door.
Scooters for the mobility impaired
If you need a scooter for the con, please send an email to ovff_at_ovff_dot_org, or phone Kathy Hamilton at (614) 451-3154
by September 1, 2014 to reserve one. (We will try to meet
any requests made after this date, but cannot guarantee it.) The rental fee
is about $100 for the weekend plus a $50 delivery fee that is divided among all those who get a scooter.
Individuals or businesses desiring a table in the Dealers' Room at OVFF
should contact Larry Smith, our dealers room coordinator, at 614-442-1010.
Please note that the Dealers' Room is by reservation only, and often sells
out almost as soon as the previous con is over.
OVFF Membership Rollover Policy
If you purchase a membership in advance to OVFF in any given year and then find that you are unable to attend due to an unexpected change of plans, OVFF will gladly consider rolling the membership over to next year's convention PROVIDED you inform us before the beginning of the con. We require notice in writing (an old-fashioned letter or email), not a phone call or a verbal message carried by a friend.
The OVFF Committee reserves the right to deny membership to, or revoke the membership of, any attendee who behaves in a manner that presents a danger to others or, in our opinion, seriously impairs the ability of other attendees to enjoy the con.
The OVFF Committee reserves the same right regarding convention members who, through their actions, threaten the working relationship between OVFF and the hotel.
OVFF's Anti-Harassment Policy
Harassment of any kind is not tolerated. If someone tells you "no" or asks you to leave them alone, your business with them is done.
Your right not to be harassed is not a right not to be offended. All of us have different things that we find offensive. If you are offended, the best solution may be for you to walk away from the person who offends you. Should that person pursue you and continue to offend you, that could be harassment.
If you feel that you are being harassed, or if you notice someone behaving inappropriately (such as violating hotel or convention policies), we respectfully suggest the following:
1. If you feel comfortable doing so, point out the inappropriate behavior to the person(s) involved. Often this will solve the problem immediately.
2. If you do not feel comfortable talking with the person(s) involved, or if talking to them does not resolve the issue, please report the situation immediately to any OVFF Concom member. It would be extremely helpful if you could provide a name, badge name, and/or physical description of the person(s) involved. Please remember that we need to know about any incidents during the event in order to take action.
OVFF reserves the right to revoke the membership of anyone failing to conform to the letter and spirit of these policies, those of our hotel, and the laws of the City of Worthington and the State of Ohio.
