"The term "droozle" (v.) was spotted by the Author in an article from Car and Driver Magazine, circa 1975. It described what it felt like to drive a Cadillac Eldorado with the stereo and a/c on and its cruise control set to the (then) national speed limit of 55 mph. This proves that the words we make up often live on after us." ––Ariel Cinii

Our star drive's gone. Our impulse power's spittin' matter bits.
Our course is automatic, so our live here is the pits.
They've cancelled orders for the brew fermenting in our hold.
"Dispose of it!" they ordered. We framed that dispatch in gold!

(Chorus)
We'll keep on…
Droozlin' through the cosmos.
Droozlin', sipping slowly on our beers.
We'll keep on droozlin' through the cosmos…
And we're gonna reach L 2-5 Prime if it takes a hundred years.

Our company's economy is in a horrid state.
They won't send a repairman out. It is a bit too late.
They won't transfer our cargo and tie up another ship.
They'll just beam their apologies with service of the lip.

(Chorus)
We'll keep on…
Droozlin' through the cosmos.
Droozlin', sipping slowly on our beers.
We'll keep on droozlin' through the cosmos…
And we're gonna reach R 4-5 Prime if it takes a hundred years.

I hope the parts we're carrying don't get too obsolete.
The word's out on the telecoms. They're talking 'bout our feat.
Them warp-drive cruisers pass us
at eight times the speed of light.
We've gone too far to get back home.
Our home star's out of sight.

(Chorus)
We'll keep on…
Droozlin' through the cosmos.
Droozlin', sipping slowly on our beers.
We'll keep on droozlin' through the cosmos…
And we're gonna reach L- WHATSIS-FACE
if it takes a hundred years.

A ton of seeds began to sprout when we passed one bright star.
We grew some crops and malt and hops to ferment for our bar.
A few of our crew-women had a couple of dozen kids.
(spoken) "Now keep from harm. Go tend the farm!"
It's good for all your ids.

(Chorus)
We'll keep on…
Droozlin' through the cosmos.
Droozlin', sipping slowly on our beers.
We'll keep on droozlin' through the cosmos…
And we're gonna reach … uh… uh… if it takes a hundred years.

Well, we've been I-don't-know how long
from who-knows where we've been.
A planet's on our sensor scopes. I think we're closing in.
But what did we come out here for?
Our cargo's three years gone…

(spoken, often improvised)
You see, those giant sewer pipe sections we were hauling made great townhouse apartments. So we hauled some up to the greenhouse level, got the kids to fix 'em up real nice so their parents could move in, and now we've got the nicest garden-side development this side of Arcturus… AND WE AIN'T MOVIN'!

Aw, what the hell! HIT SECTOR L! We'll just keep pushing on.

(Chorus)
We'll keep on…
Droozlin' through the cosmos.
Droozlin', sipping slowly on our beers.
We'll keep on droozlin' through the cosmos…
And we're get to … THAT-A WAY
if it takes one hundred years!!!

(spoken)
Are we there yet, grandma?
