Well she's young and she's cool, she's Daddy's little jewel
She's the prettiest girl in her whole damn school
She just loves to party, just loves to talk
And most of all dancing, she'll rock 'round the clock
But she's got good grades, and her parents are floored
Daddy said "Betty, you deserve a reward
For your birthday, gather your friends, girls and boys
And you can all go to the time of your choice"
[Chorus]
Because his little girl's turnin' sweet sixteen
Betty's dad loaned her the time machine
He gave her the keys as she grinned ear-to-ear
He said "Make sure you're back home by midnight, my dear"
Then Betty and twelve of her closest friends
Strapped in and set off for who knows when
A little debauchery was first on the list
So Sodom and Gamorah were not to be missed
And those placed can sure enough ring your chimes
But make DAMN sure you get out of there on time
[Chorus]
Now you may have wondered how Helen of Troy
Had such beauty without modern cosmetic toys
Well let's just say, if the truth you seek
That her name's not Helen and she's not really Greek
They partied in Egypt, France, & Rome
Partied long after the cows came home
They were party advisors to kings and queens
Cleo to Victoria and many between
[Chorus]
Well they got home by midnight, but you should have seen
How a lot of those kids looked well over sixteen
And the time police came with a big pile of fines
Their paradox squad's earning huge overtime
They had to dip into her college fund
And dad wants to force her to be a nun
But in spite of it all, Betty's filled with glee
No guestion she left her mark on history
[Chorus]
Betty's dad loaned her... (x7)
Betty's dad loaned her the time machine!
