Mich Sampson

Mich has had an intense time since joining filkdom in 2001!

She had the pleasure of being GoH at the 18th British Filk Convention and GAFilk, won two and a quarter SAMS awards, and produced her first studio album "Just Beyond" (available through www.mich-sampson.com). She's appeared on stage in a variety of forms (animagus?) - by herself on piano or harp, with Marilisa Valtazanou as the filk-folk duo 'Playing Rapunzel', with the feisty all-female band 'Divine Strumpet', and as a soprano/alto and occasional conductor of the n'Early Music Consort. She can also regularly be seen accompanying other filk performers.

Outside filk, she dabbles in Gilbert and Sullivan and Jewish choral music, and has recently returned to university to train as a conductor on the basis that she would really like to know what to do with her hands!
